Armando Bacot recorded another double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, passing Billy Cunningham for the most games with double-digit rebounds in Tar Heel history with 62. Tyler Nickel and Pete Nance each scored 16 points in the win.
CIT 67, UNC 100The Citadel vs. Clemson: The Tigers defeated The Citadel 80-69 in the season opener. Clemson trailed 26-22 with 8:01 left in the first half and the Tigers ended the half on a 23-5 run to take control of the game. Chase Hunter was the leading scorer with 23 points, and he led his team with seven assists as well. Ian Schieffelin scored 20 points off of the bench for Clemson. Hunter Tyson added 19 points and 13 assists.

The Citadel used some early hot three-point shooting to jump out to a double-digit lead and was able to hold off all Pitt runs for the rest of the game. Pittsburgh's John Hugley had a double-double to lead the Panthers in points and rebounds with 27 and 10. Femi Odukale added another 20 points for Pitt.
CIT 78, PITT 63The Citadel vs. NC State: The Wolfpack built an early lead and never trailed as they beat The Citadel, 83-63. Markell Johnson recorded his first career triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the win. Five players scored in double figures for the Pack, led by Devon Daniels' 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting. D.J. Funderburk was perfect from the field, hitting all five of his shot attempts on his way to 14 points. NC State was dominant inside, as they outscored the Bulldogs 42-18 in the paint.
