UCI 63, UCSB 79Tres Tinkle dropped 27 points, moving into fourth all-time in OSU's career scoring list, as the Beavers collected a 78-67 win over UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday at Gill Coliseum. Tinkle notched his 25th career double-double, also pulling down 11 rebounds. Overall, the Beavers shot 56.6% from the field, limiting the Gauchos to 36.9%. The win improves Oregon State to 4-1 on the season.
UCSB 67, ORST 78UCLA men's basketball defeated UC Santa Barbara by a final of 77-61 in Los Angeles on Sunday. The Gauchos gave the Bruins a scare early, leading by two at halftime, but UCLA pulled away in the second half behind a big game from Jalen Hill. The sophomore paced the Bruins with a career-high 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Jules Bernard added 20 points and eight rebounds as the Bruins improved to 2-0 on the season.
