Erik Ring gave the Imps an early lead in the 26th minute, but Kelly N'Mai's stoppage-time equaliser in the 93rd minute forced extra time and eventually penalties. The penalty shoot-out provided the perfect climax to an evenly-contested cup tie where both sides registered eight shots on target.
