Wolverhampton Wanderers made the trip to face Grimsby Town in the FA Cup fourth round, with the League Two side looking to cause an upset. Grimsby held firm for the first hour of the game, until Wolves found the opener through Santiago Bueno. GRIM 0, WOL 1Grimsby leave it late to find a winner against sixth-tier Weston-super-Mare, with substitute Kieran Green heading in to see the Mariners progress. In what was a well fought match by the National League South side, they pegged back the hosts twice, with goals from Charles Vernam and Jaze Kabia for Grimsby, and Luke Coulson and Louis Britton for the visitors.
Grimsby Town secured their place in the Third Round with a dominant 4-0 victory over Wealdstone at Blundell Park in the Second Round Proper. The Mariners took complete control in the opening 25 minutes, with Jaze Kabia opening the scoring in the 7th minute before Kieran Green doubled the lead eight minutes later. Jamie Walker extended the advantage in the 23rd minute, effectively ending the contest before half-time. Kabia completed his brace early in the second half with a 53rd-minute strike to seal a comprehensive Cup victory.

The Mariners fell behind to Charlie Seaman's 34th-minute opener but turned the game around with a devastating second-half display. Danny Rose struck twice in 14 minutes (53', 67') either side of Cameron McJannett's equaliser (55') to seal the win. Despite Ebbsfleet registering more shots on target (5-3) and corners (4-1), they were undone by poor discipline with four yellow cards and a red card hampering their cup hopes.
