Burns retains WBO lightweight title
May 11, 2013 - 11:50 PM Glasgow, Scotland (Sports Network) - WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns retained his title with a ninth round TKO over previously unbeaten Jose Gonzalez on Saturday night.Burns (36-2, 11 KOs) started to take control of the fight in round seven. Gonzalez (22-1, 17 KOs) quit on his stool citing an injured wrist following round nine.
