Eskimos reward WR Stamps with contract extension
Feb 12, 2013 - 4:28 PM Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - The Edmonton Eskimos signed wide receiver Fred Stamps to a contract extension on Tuesday.The deal will keep Stamps in Edmonton through the 2014 season.
Stamps has led the team in receiving yards for the past four seasons. He has recorded 1,000 receiving yards while being named a CFL All-Star in each of those seasons (2009-2012).
In 2012, Stamps started all 18 games and ranked second in the league with 70 receptions for 1,310 yards and a career-high nine touchdowns.
Stamps has 6,128 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns during his six-year CFL career with the Eskimos.
