Argos QB Ray doubtful for finale

Nov 4, 2014 - 7:47 PM Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Toronto Argonauts quarterback Ricky Ray is doubtful for Friday's must-win game against the Ottawa RedBlacks.

Ray suffered a concussion against the Montreal Alouettes last Sunday.

"Ricky would be doubtful at best right now," Argonauts coach Scott Milanovich told reporters after practice Tuesday.

If Ray can't go, backup Trevor Harris is expected to take his place in the starting lineup.

Ray leads the league with 4,595 passing yards and 28 touchdowns.

The Argonauts also announced Tuesday that they have released wide receiver LaVon Brazill and defensive lineman Ezra Butler. In addition, defensive lineman Marcus Thomas will miss the rest of the season with a foot injury.

The Argonauts need a victory over Ottawa along with a Montreal win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to reach the playoffs.
