Riders keep WR Dressler with 4-year extension

Jan 30, 2015 - 11:08 PM Regina, SK (SportsNetwork.com) - The Saskatchewan Roughriders and wide receiver Weston Dressler agreed to a four-year contract extension on Friday.

Financial details of the signing were not released.

"I thought things went pretty smoothly. I'm just happy to be back here, thankful that Brendan (GM Taman) and Jeremy (assistant GM O'Day) were pretty easy guys to work with," Dressler said.

Dressler was limited to nine games in 2014, totaling 320 yards and one touchdown on 27 receptions and adding two punt return scores.

The 29-year-old North Dakota product sits third in franchise history with 469 receptions and 6,856 yards, while his 44 receiving touchdowns rank fifth all- time over 107 career regular season games.
