Eskimos name Tucker, others to coaching staff
Jan 29, 2009 - 12:52 AM EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Jason Tucker made a significant impact on the field for the Edmonton Eskimos. The team is now banking for similar results on the sideline. One of the most prolific pass catchers in team history, Tucker was named the Eskimos' receivers coach on Wednesday. The move comes after Tucker suffered a career-ending neck injury last season.
Edmonton head coach Richie Hall also named the following members to his staff: Neil Thorpe (assistant head coach/special-teams coordinator), Jim Daley (defensive coordinator, defensive line), Dan Kepley (linebackers), Stacey Hairston (defensive backs), Rick Worman (offensive coordinator, quarterbacks), Jeff Bleamer (offensive line) and Terry Eisler (running backs).
"I was looking for individuals, who think creatively, possess CFL experience and above all who are good character people," Hall said. "This staff meets all of those criteria and I'm excited to begin work on the 2009 season."
