Alouettes re-sign T Haywood to one-year deal
Jan 29, 2009 - 8:26 PM MONTREAL (Ticker) -- The Monteal Alouettes on Thursday re-signed tackle Jerome Haywood to a one-year contract that also includes a club option for the 2010 season.The 5-10, 280-pound Haywood is a seven-year CFL veteran who began his career with the Ottawa Renegades in 2002.
After four seasons with Ottawa, he played in 11 games for the Alouettes in 2006, then spent the last two campaigns in Winnipeg.
Haywood, 30, has played in 107 career games, registering 29 sacks and 223 tackles.
