Eskimos re-sign WR Nowacki
Feb 9, 2009 - 4:46 PM EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Edmonton Eskimos on Monday signed wide receiver Andrew Nowacki to a three-year extension that will keep him under contract through the 2011 season.Playing in all 18 regular-season games last year, Nowacki caught 28 passes for 369 yards and two touchdowns. The Ontario native was the Eskimos' fourth-round pick in the 2004 CFL draft.
He enjoyed his the best season in 2007 with 47 catches for 465 yards and two touchdowns.
"Andrew has shown real growth over the past couple of seasons," Edmonton general manager Danny Maciocia said. "He's emerged into a very sure-handed possession receiver."
