Roughriders beat Stampeders for Grey Cup spot
Nov 23, 2009 - 1:14 AM REGINA, Saskatchewan(AP) -- Darian Durant threw three touchdown passes to help the Saskatchewan Roughriders advance to the Grey Cup with a 27-17 victory over the Calgary Stampeders on Sunday in the CFL West Division final.Saskatchewan will face Montreal - a 56-18 winner over British Columbia in the East final - in the title game next Sunday in Calgary.
Durant finished 18 of 25 for 204 yards. He threw an 8-yard scoring pass to Chris Getzlaf - the brother of Anaheim Ducks star Ryan Getzlaf - in the second quarter, and added a 9-yarder to Andy Fantuz and a 16-yarder to Rob Bagg in the third.
Saskatchewan, making its seventh Grey Cup appearance, beat Winnipeg in the 2007 championship for the third title in franchise history.
