Mogi wins World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup
May 12, 2013 - 4:06 PM Ibaraki, Japan (Sports Network) - Hiromi Mogi fired a 4-under 68 on Sunday to secure a victory at the World Ladies Championship Salonpas Cup.Mogi carded five birdies and a single bogey and finished the event with a 9- under-par total for her first major title on the LPGA of Japan. It is the sixth JLPGA victory of the 36-year-old's career.
The next closest competitor was Miki Saeki, who ended at 7-under-par at Ibaraki Golf Club West Course. She was seeking her third JLPGA win of the season.
Overnight leader Rikako Morita took third place at 6-under, while 16-year-old Lydia Ko secured best amateur status with a minus-5 total. So Yeon Ryu and Ji Woo Lee also finished at 5-under.
