Woods extends lead atop world rankings
May 13, 2013 - 5:28 PM Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - World No. 1 Tiger Woods collected his fourth PGA Tour win of the season on Sunday and that helped him extend his lead atop this week's world golf rankings.Woods' lead moved from 1.38 average points to 3.24 average points after his 2- stroke win at the TPC Sawgrass.
Woods was again followed by Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott and Justin Rose.
Brandt Snedeker and Luke Donald exchanged spots with Snedeker up to fifth. Louis Oosthuizen held steady at No. 7 and was trailed by Graeme McDowell, Steve Stricker and Phil Mickelson.
Lee Westwood inched up one to 11th and that pushed Matt Kuchar down a notch to 12th.
Sergio Garcia put three balls in the water on the final two holes Sunday to tumble into a share of eighth place. Despite that, Garcia moved up two to 13th.
Keegan Bradley remained No. 14, while Ian Poulter tumbled a pair to 15th. Webb Simpson moved up two to 16th as Charl Schwartzel and Bubba Watson both slipped one to 17th and 18th, respectively.
Dustin Johnson and Jason Dufner were 19th and 20th again this week.
