Park increases lead in women's world rankings
Jun 10, 2013 - 3:59 PM Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Inbee Park collected her second major championship of the season on Sunday and that helped Park increase her lead atop the women's world rankings.Park's lead over No. 2 Stacy Lewis increased from 1.16 average points to 2.62 average points.
Park and Lewis were followed by Suzann Pettersen, who inched up one to third and that bumped Na Yeon Choi down to fourth. Former No. 1 Yani Tseng held steady at No. 5 and was followed again by So Yeon Ryu and Shanshan Feng.
Jiyai Shin and Karrie Webb exchanged places with Shin moving up to eighth. Ai Miyazato and Cristie Kerr were 10th and 11th again this week.
Catriona Matthew, who lost to Park on the third playoff hole at the LPGA Championship, jumped four places to No. 12. Paula Creamer slipped one to 13th, while I.K. Kim held steady at 14th.
Mika Miyazato was down two to 15th and Ariya Jutanugarn dipped one to 16th, while Amy Yang increased two to 17 and amateur Lydia Ko jumped four to No. 18.
Lizette Salas was down one to 19 and Angela Stanford remained 20th again this week. Azahara Munoz tumbled out of the top 20 as she fell four to 21st.
