EDINA, Minnesota (Ticker) -- Inbee Park tamed strong winds to open a two-stroke lead during the final round of the U.S. Women's Open on Sunday.
While Stacy Lewis and Paula Creamer, who started the day first and second respectively, struggled in the tough conditions, Park remained as she started the day at 7-under-par after 10 holes at Interlachen.
Lewis and Brazilian Angela Park were tied for second at 5-under after nine and 11 holes respectively, with Helen Alfredsson (10 holes) and Teresa Lu (12 holes) at 4-under.
Creamer, meanwhile, plunged all the way to 3-under after dropping five strokes in an error-strewn front nine.
She and Lewis both double-bogeyed the par-5 second, but whereas Lewis steadied the ship, Creamer continued to leak water.
