STOCKHOLM, Sweden (Ticker) -- Rising to the challenge of playing in front of his home fans, Swede Peter Hanson holds a two-shot lead after Saturday's third round of the SAS Masters.

Hanson, who added a 2-under-par 68 to his two opening 66s, has won only one of 174 European Tour events. At the 24th in the Ryder Cup standings, he still has hopes of making the European squad.

"I think I've put myself a little bit too far back, but if I win tomorrow I'll change my mind about taking next week off," said the 30-year-old, whose only victory was the 2005 Spanish Open.

"I want to give myself every chance. "Of course you can feel pressure playing at home, but I think it's more inspirational."

Hanson, who is at 10-under 200 overall, bogeyed the third, but rebounded with birdies at the fifth, seventh and 16th.

A group of five players highlighted by fellow Swede's Daniel Chopra (67) and Pelle Edberg (66) are two shots back. Also at 8-under are Gary Orr (67), Soren Kjeldsen (68) and Nick Dougherty (70).
