Bearpath wins feature race at Churchill
Nov 22, 2009 - 10:39 PM LOUISVILLE, Ky.(AP) -- Bearpath raced past Ravensworth at the sixteenth pole and drew away for a half-length victory in Sunday's $50,199 feature race at Churchill Downs.Trained by Ian Wilkes and ridden by Freddie Lenclud, Bearpath ran 1 1/2 miles on a firm turf course in 2:31.95. The 3-year-old son of Dynaformer won for the third time in 13 career starts and improved his earnings to $87,130.
Bearpath returned $30.40, $15.60 and $8.40.
Ravensworth, ridden by Florent Geroux, paid $12.20 and $8.80 and finished a half-length in front of Hidden Glance, who paid $5.60 to show under Shaun Bridgmohan.
