3B coach Bruce Hines won't return for Mariners
Oct 20, 2009 - 12:36 AM SEATTLE(AP) -- Third-base coach Bruce Hines is the only Seattle Mariners coach not returning in 2010.General manager Jack Zduriencik said Monday all other members of manager Don Wakamatsu's staff will return.
Bench coach Ty Van Burkleo, pitching coach Rick Adair, hitting coach Alan Cockrell, first-base coach Lee Tinsley, bullpen coach John Wetteland and performance coach Steve Hecht will be back.
The 51-year-old Hines arrived in Seattle with Wakamatsu before last season. He hadn't been a major league third-base coach before that.
Zduriencik says a replacement likely will come from outside the organization.
