Reds LF Dunn named NL Player of the Week
Jun 18, 2007 - 8:49 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Cincinnati Reds left fielder Adam Dunn was named the National League Player of the Week on Monday.Dunn was 12-for-24 (.500) with four home runs and eight RBI. The 27-year-old slugger recorded an on-base-percentage of .538 and homered in three consecutive games against the Texas Rangers, including a two-homer performance on June 17.
It marked the second time this season Dunn won the award. Other nominees for the award included Atlanta's Chipper Jones, Derrek Lee and Carlos Zambrano of the Cubs, Cincinnati's Ken Griffey Jr., and San Francisco's Barry Bonds.
