Yankees' Granderson comes off DL

May 14, 2013 - 7:59 PM Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees activated All-Star outfielder Curtis Granderson from the 15-day disabled list prior to Tuesday's game against the Seattle Mariners.

Granderson, whose 43 home runs last season tied for second in the majors, missed New York's first 38 contests of this campaign after fracturing his right forearm while hit by a pitch in a spring training game back on Feb. 24.

The veteran slugger returned to action last week with a rehabiliation stint at Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre, and pronounced himself ready to go by batting .400 (8-for-20) with a homer and three RBI in five games.

Granderson will bat cleanup and play left field in Tuesday's matchup with Seattle.

The 32-year-old added 106 RBI while batting .232 last season, one year after belting 41 homers and driving in a career-high 119 runs for the Yankees.
