Blue Jays LHP Downs leaves game with foot injury

Jul 13, 2007 - 2:13 AM BOSTON (Ticker) -- Toronto Blue Jays reliever Scott Downs left Thursday's game against the Boston Red Sox with an apparent foot injury.

Downs was injured when a line drive off the bat of Dustin Pedroia struck his right foot. The lefthander was able to field the ball and toss out Pedroia at first before being removed from the game in favor of righthander Brian Wolfe.
