Yankees activate Nova

May 24, 2013 - 10:00 PM St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees activated pitcher Ivan Nova from the 15-day disabled list prior to Friday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Nova was placed on the DL April 27 with inflammation of the right triceps. The right-hander is 1-1 with a 6.48 ERA in four starts this season.

The 26-year-old Nova will likely be relegated to the bullpen, a fact he hopes to change.
