Yankees' Youkilis returns to DL
Jun 15, 2013 - 3:31 AM Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees placed third baseman Kevin Youkilis on the 15-day disabled list on Friday with a lumbar strain.Youkilis, who returned from the DL just over two weeks ago after missing nearly a month with a lower back strain, is batting just .219 with two home runs and eight RBI.
The 10-year veteran has struggled since returning from his first stint on the DL on May 31, batting just .146 over his last 11 games
He is scheduled to visit a doctor on Monday.
