Marlins put Olivo on restricted list

Jun 15, 2013 - 5:22 PM Miami, FL (Sports Network) - The Miami Marlins placed catcher Miguel Olivo on the restricted list and recalled outfielder Jordan Brown from Triple-A New Orleans.

Olivo is hitting .203 with four homers and nine RBI in 33 games this season.

The veteran backstop reportedly had been unhappy with his playing time and had not started behind the plate since mid-May. Olivo signed with the Marlins in the offseason after spending the past two seasons with the Mariners.

Brown went 3-for-8 with one double and five RBI from May 20-June 2 with the Marlins. He was batting .259 with seven doubles, two home runs and 16 RBI in 46 games with New Orleans this year.
