Indians recall 3B Chisenhall, option P Langwell
Jun 18, 2013 - 6:42 PM Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians recalled third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall from Triple-A Columbus Tuesday and optioned pitcher Matt Langwell to Columbus.Chisenhall was on the Tribe's Opening Day roster to start the season, but batted just .213 with three home runs and 11 runs batted in over 26 games before being optioned to Columbus on May 13.
The 24-year-old Chisenhall, who was drafted by Cleveland in the first round (29th overall) of the 2008 draft, batted .390 with six homers and 26 RBI over 27 games with the Clippers.
Langwell was recalled from Columbus on June 1 and made his major league debut the following day.
The 27-year-old right-hander surrendered just one run while striking out five in 4 1/3 innings over four games with the Indians.
