Diamondbacks starter Cahill leaves

Jun 19, 2013 - 10:43 PM Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Trevor Cahill exited the team's contest on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins with an apparent hip injury.

Cahill took a liner off his hip in the first inning when Marcell Ozuna ripped a hard grounder back to the mound. The ball ricocheted to third and Martin Prado fielded the play to record the final out, but Cahill exited afterwards.

The 25-year-old right-hander was tagged with losing decisions in four of his last five starts coming in. He has posted a 3-8 record with a 3.96 ERA over 14 outings this season.
