Cubs place OF Floyd on bereavement list, activate 1B Ward
Aug 12, 2007 - 6:30 PM DENVER (Ticker) -- The Chicago Cubs on Sunday placed outfielder Cliff Floyd on the bereavement list and activated first baseman Daryle Ward from the 15-day disabled list.Floyd, who last played on Wednesday, is batting .290 with four home runs and 36 RBI in 79 games with the Cubs this season.
Before being placed on the disabled list on July 20 with a right calf strain, Ward was batting .333 (21-for-63) in 47 games.
