Rockies place P Anderson on DL

Apr 14, 2014 - 11:46 PM San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Colorado Rockies placed pitcher Brett Anderson on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a fractured left index finger.

Anderson suffered the injury while batting against Matt Cain in Saturday's victory over the San Francisco Giants.

An x-ray on Monday confirmed the injury and the team said he will miss the next four-to-six weeks.

Anderson is 0-2 with a 3.60 earned run average over three starts this season.

To take his spot on the roster, the team recalled outfielder Corey Dickerson from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
