Brewers send OF Schafer to DL
Apr 20, 2014 - 4:25 PM Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Milwaukee Brewers placed outfielder Logan Schafer on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, retroactive to April 18, with a strained right hamstring.Schafer sustained the injury while stretching in the on-deck circle as he waited for a pinch-hitting appearance against the Pirates on Thursday.
The 27-year-old outfielder batted .214 with four doubles and two runs batted in over 10 games with the Brewers this season.
Milwaukee also activated first baseman Lyle Overbay from the paternity list on Sunday.
Overbay hit .100 with two doubles and three RBI in 10 games prior to his stint on the paternity list.
