Rangers' Kouzmanoff captures AL Player of the Week honor
Apr 21, 2014 - 8:02 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Texas Rangers third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff has been named the American League Player of the Week for the period ending April 20.Kouzmanoff, who began the season in the minors and joined the Rangers after Adrian Beltre landed on the disabled list, led the AL with eight RBI and 20 total bases while batting .345 in seven games last week.
Minnesota's Chris Colabello and the Angels' Albert Pujols were among the AL's other standout performers. Colabello hit .500 with six RBI, while Pujols clubbed three homers and drove in seven runs.
