Rockies' Morneau named NL Player of the Week
Apr 21, 2014 - 8:11 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado Rockies first baseman Justin Morneau was named the National League Player of the Week for the period ending April 20.Morneau finished with an MLB-best 12 RBI while batting .375 with three homers in seven games last week.
Other players who were worthy of the award included Morneau's teammate Troy Tulowitzki and Miami's Giancarlo Stanton. Tulowitzki hit .500 with a home run and six RBI, while Stanton batted .333 with two homers and 10 RBI.
