Yankees acquire Capuano from Rockies
Jul 24, 2014 - 11:44 PM Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Yankees have acquired left-handed pitcher Chris Capuano from the Colorado Rockies in exchange for cash considerations.The 35-year-old Capuano was signed by the Rockies as a free agent on July 4. He started four games combined for Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Colorado Springs this year and is 1-0 with a 2.79 ERA.
Capuano began this season with the Boston Red Sox and went 1-1 with a 4.55 ERA in 28 appearances.
The left-hander is 74-84 with a 4.28 ERA in 266 career games (209 starts) with the Diamondbacks, Brewers, Mets, Dodgers and Red Sox.
