Marlins recall RHP Kensing

Sep 1, 2007 - 8:38 PM MIAMI (Ticker) - One year and one day after undergoing Tommy John surgery, Logan Kensing is back in the major leagues.

The Florida Marlins on Saturday recalled the 25-year-old righthander from Class AAA Albuquerque.

Kensing had surgery on August 31 last year, with the operation performed by famed surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Kensing began the season on the disabled list and went 0-0 with a 4.05 ERA during a rehab stint with Class AA Carolina, Class A Jupiter and Class A GCL Marlins.

He was reinstated from the disabled list on August 8 and optioned to Albuquerque where he went 0-1 with 4.00 ERA in eight games.

In 2006, Kensing was 1-3 with one save and a 4.54 ERA for Florida.
