D-backs recall Harris, option Hagens

Aug 18, 2014 - 5:38 PM Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled relief pitcher Will Harris from Triple-A Reno on Monday.

Harris, who made Arizona's opening day roster, has spent most of this season with Reno. The right-hander has gone 3-2 with a 0.99 ERA, one save and 44 strikeouts in 43 games for the Aces. His ERA leads all minor-league relievers.

The 29-year-old has pitched in 93 games over three seasons with the Rockies and Diamondbacks, compiling a 5-4 record with a 4.99 ERA.

Arizona also optioned pitcher Bradin Hagens to Reno. The right-hander made his major-league debut on Thursday and appeared in two games, giving up one run in 2 2/3 innings with a loss.
