Yankees' Ellsbury is AL Player of the Week
Sep 2, 2014 - 7:49 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - New York Yankees center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury was named American League Player of the Week on Tuesday.Ellsbury batted .522 with four home runs, nine RBI, a triple, two stolen bases and a .500 on-base percentage in six games last week. He led the majors with 27 total bases.
It was the second career weekly honor for the eight-year veteran.
