Padres activate OF Hairston from DL

Sep 9, 2007 - 12:19 AM DENVER (Ticker) -- The San Diego Padres on Saturday activated outfielder Scott Hairston from the 15-day disabled list.

Hairston, 27, suffered a strained left oblique muscle on August 9 at St. Louis. In 11 games with the Padres, he has hit .400 (8-for-20) with three home runs and seven RBI. He was acquired from Arizona on July 27 for righthanded pitcher Leo Rosales.

In parts of four seasons with Arizona (2004-2007) and San Diego (2007), Hairston has hit .244 (139-of-570) with 32 doubles, eight triples, 19 home runs, 54 RBI, 67 runs and 41 walks in 212 games.
