Tigers CF Granderson joins exclusive club

Sep 9, 2007 - 7:22 PM DETROIT (Ticker) -- Detroit Tigers center fielder Curtis Granderson joined another exclusive club in the first inning of Sunday's contest against the Seattle Mariners.

Granderson joins Willie Mays and Frank Schulte as the only players in major league history with at least 20 stolen bases, 20 homers, 20 triples and 20 doubles in one season.

Schulte accomplished the feat in 1911 with the Chicago White Sox. Mays did it with the New York Giants in 1957.

Granderson singled off Seattle starter Felix Hernandez and stole second to reach the historical milestone.

On Friday, he hit his 20th blast to became the sixth player in history with at least 20 homers, 20 doubles and 20 triples.
