Marlins SS Ramirez out of lineup Wednesday

Sep 12, 2007 - 5:24 PM MIAMI (Ticker) -- Florida Marlins shortstop Hanley Ramirez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest against the Washington Nationals due to the impending birth of his child.

Ramirez, 23, had four hits - including two home runs - and three runs scored as the Marlins snapped a three-game losing streak with a 13-8 victory on Tuesday.

In 138 games, the 2006 National League Rookie of the Year is batting .332 with 28 homers and 72 RBI. Ramirez also leads the NL in stolen bases with 46.
