Cards ink reliever Belisle
Dec 2, 2014 - 11:10 PM St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Cardinals announced the signing of free agent reliever Matt Belisle to a one-year contract on Tuesday.Belisle spent the last six seasons with the Colorado Rockies, accumulating a 32-32 record and 3.88 earned run average in 412 2/3 innings over 392 appearances. In 2014, the right-hander was 4-7 with a 4.87 ERA in 66 contests.
Since cracking a major-league staff in 2003 with the Cincinnati Reds, the 34- year-old native of Austin, Texas has gone 48-54 with a 4.41 ERA in 524 career games.
