Mets sign P Carlyle to minor league deal
Jan 5, 2015 - 9:31 PM Flushing, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Mets signed pitcher Buddy Carlyle to a minor league contract on Monday.The 37-year-old righty went 1-1 with a 1.45 ERA over 27 games last season with the Mets. He held the opposition scoreless in 21 of his 27 appearances.
Over eight seasons in the majors since 1999, he is 12-13 with a 5.13 ERA in 139 games (27 starts) with the Padres, Dodgers, Braves, Yankees and Mets.
