Alou leaves game in fourth inning

Sep 19, 2007 - 7:19 AM WASHINGTON (Ticker) - New York Mets outfielder Moises Alou left Tuesday's game with tightness in his left quadriceps muscle.

Alou was batting .335 with 12 home runs and 37 RBI in 74 games for the Mets this season.

The 41-year-old Alou, who was on the disabled list from May 17 to July 27 earlier in the season with a strained left quad, was running from first to second on an infield ground ball when he came up lame.

Alou is listed as day-to-day and said he should be fine for Wednesday's game.
