Athletics agree to deals with Reddick, Lawrie
Jan 16, 2015 - 7:32 PM Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Oakland Athletics have agreed to one- year contracts with five arbitration-eligible players, including outfielder Josh Reddick and third baseman Brett Lawrie.Others agreeing to deals were pitcher Ryan Cook and outfielders Craig Gentry and Sam Fuld.
Reddick appeared in just 109 games last season because of injuries and slugged 12 homers while driving in 54 runs and batting .264.
Lawrie joined the Athletics in a November trade from Toronto. He hit .247 with 12 homers and 38 RBI in 70 games for the Blue Jays.
Cook was 1-3 with a 3.42 ERA and one save in 54 games last season, while Gentry hit .254 and led the Athletics with 20 stolen bases despite two stints on the disabled list. Fuld split time last season with Oakland and Minnesota, batting .239 in 113 games.
