Phillies claim Jordan Danks off waivers
Jan 16, 2015 - 8:33 PM Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Phillies claimed outfielder Jordan Danks off waivers from the Chicago White Sox on Friday.Danks split last season between the White Sox and the minors. The 28-year-old played 51 games at the big league level and hit .222 with two home runs and 10 RBI.
In 180 career major league games over three seasons, Danks has hit .227 with eight home runs and 26 RBI.
Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said the team was attracted to Danks' power and outfield defense.
