Mets LF Alou extends hitting streak to 25 games

Sep 22, 2007 - 12:17 AM MIAMI (Ticker) -- New York Mets left fielder Moises Alou singled in the top of the third inning of Friday's game against the Florida Marlins to extend his hitting streak to 25 games.

The streak is the second-longest in the major leagues this season. Cleveland's Casey Blake had a 26-game run earlier this year.
