Mets LF Alou extends hitting streak to 30 games
Sep 27, 2007 - 12:45 AM FLUSHING, New York (Ticker) -- New York Mets left fielder Moises Alou homered in the bottom of the first inning of Wednesday's game against the Washington Nationals to extend his hitting streak to 30 games.The streak is the longest in the major leagues this season. Cleveland's Casey Blake had a 26-game run earlier this year.
Alou added a fifth-inning RBI single, giving him 48 hits in his last 118 at-bats (.407)
