Padres place C Federowicz on 60-day DL
Mar 26, 2015 - 6:35 PM Scottsdale, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Diego Padres have placed catcher Tim Federowicz on the 60-day disabled list.Federowicz underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on March 13 to repair a lateral meniscus tear.
The 27-year-old backstop hit .113 in 23 games as a reserve for the Dodgers last season, but committed just three errors in 172 chances for a .983 fielding percentage.
The Padres also claimed pitcher Jandel Gustave off outright waivers from the Kansas City Royals.
