Reds scratch Cueto from Sunday's start

May 23, 2015 - 6:53 PM Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Cincinnati Reds ace Johnny Cueto will not make his scheduled start Sunday against the Cleveland Indians due to what the team termed "general stiffness."

Raisel Iglesias will instead draw the assignment in the series finale.

Cueto last pitched Tuesday at Kansas City, allowing three runs and a season high-tying nine hits over seven innings in the Reds' 3-0 loss. The 2014 All-Star threw 114 and 123 pitches, respectively, in his two previous starts prior to recording 102 in Tuesday's outing.

The impending free agent right-hander has a solid 3.03 earned run average in nine starts this season, but has posted a 4.21 ERA along with a 2-3 record in May.

Iglesias has made two starts earlier this season, including a stellar eight- inning performance against Atlanta on May 13. The rookie yielded a run on two hits to earn his first major league win.
