Cubs activate Soler from 15-day DL, send Szczur to Triple-A
Jul 5, 2015 - 5:52 PM CHICAGO (AP) The Chicago Cubs activated outfielder Jorge Soler from the 15-day disabled list in time for Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins and optioned outfielder Matt Szczur to Triple-A Iowa.Soler is hitting .265 with four home runs and 19 RBIs in 49 games. He sprained his left ankle June 1 at Miami and was placed on the disabled list two days later. Soler played a four-game rehab assignment at Iowa, going 2 for 13 with three walks and one RBI.
Szczur is batting .211 with one home run and eight RBIs in 32 games.
