Cardinals arrive at un-air conditioned Busch Stadium
Jul 27, 2015 - 11:07 PM ST. LOUIS (AP) St. Louis Cardinals players arrived to un-air conditioned Busch Stadium on Monday. The problem was fixed by mid-afternoon, several hours before a game against the Cincinnati Reds. Manager Mike Matheny downplayed the situation, noting he grew up without air conditioning.
Matheny joked that his wife sets the thermostat at ''about 47 degrees'' and that he thought they were ''trying to raise penguins.''
The problem was first noted during a news conference at adjacent Ballpark Village to promote the United States' opening qualifier for the 2018 World Cup, in November.
No one has shouted yet.
